Toothache Remedy: Hydrogen Peroxide
To help kill bacteria and relieve some of the discomforts, rinse your mouth with a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. This can provide temporary relief if the toothache is accompanied by fever and an unpleasant taste in the mouth (both are signs of infection). Like all of the toothache remedies we recommend, this is only a temporary measure until you visit the dentist and the infection is treated. A hydrogen peroxide solution is only used for rinsing. Spit out and then rinse several times with clear water.
Toothache remedy: ice cream
Place a small ice cube in a plastic bag, wrap a thin cloth around the bag, and apply it to the painful tooth for about 15 minutes to numb the nerves. You can also place this ice pack on the cheek of the painful tooth. And according to legend, massaging your hand with an ice cube would help relieve toothache.
When the nerves in your fingers send “cold” signals to your brain, they can neutralize the pain signals coming from your tooth. Simply wrap an ice cube in a thin cloth and massage it into the fleshy area between your thumb and forefinger.
